Lovely to meet you!

Cute dogs aside, Sophie is a Melbourne-based communications professional, specialising in writing and content creation.

There's no denying, Sophie loves a good story. With a great interest in the power of storytelling, Sophie recognises the importance of sharing a voice, and the power of sharing a voice to inspire others.

Presently, Sophie is the associate editor at estliving.com; a leading Australian architecture and design publication. Sophie joined the est living team in March 2017 as an editorial intern, progressing from editorial assistant and coordinator, to an associate editor role in May 2019. Sophie enjoys working across content management and audience engagement strategy across all est living social channels, as well as producing daily stories for estliving.com and assisting the managing editor in producing the quarterly est magazine.

Prior to her role as associate editor at est living, Sophie was a livestock reporter for The Weekly Times newspaper. Sophie’s role as a livestock reporter included writing the weekly wool report feature, attending and reporting on weekly livestock sales and writing livestock news and feature stories for online and print.

Sophie's passion for storytelling led her to successfully completing a Bachelor of Communication (Professional Communication) at RMIT University, majoring in journalism and literary studies. As this course integrates public relations, journalism, media and advertising, Sophie developed sound skills and knowledge in storytelling across platforms, for a diverse range of audiences. In December 2017 Sophie graduated, equipped with a forward-thinking, multi-disciplinary knowledge and skill-set required for current media professionals.

Through a zest for visual expression and creativity in content, Sophie has combined her practical learning at RMIT University, with her industry experience.
